Conte Center Mission

This Conte Center for Neuroscience Research will utilize the integration of the strengths and expertise of its five investigators. Their successful discoveries concerning the mechanisms of action of dopamine and serotonin in the basal ganglia and frontal cortex will be used as a basis for exploration into the signal transduction-related aspects of neuroleptic drugs. These studies will hopefully lead to the development of novel therapies for schizophrenia and related disorders.
